Gymnastics Faculty
INGA SMIRNOVA
Inga Smirnova started gymnastics as a young girl in Russia and was a decorated gymnast from 1982-1987. During that time she was a competing team member of the USSR National Women's Gymnastics Team, the Kazakhstan National Women's Team, and the Kazakhstan Sports Society "Dynamo" Team. She is currently a Certified National Gymnastics Judge and has been since 1999.
Inga brings over 28 years of extensive knowledge and coaching with her in the gymnastics and acrobatics area. She is USAG professional member, U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction certified, and U101Safety and Risk Management certified.
KATHRYN SHERLOCK
Katie Sherlock is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth who has been a part of the studio for almost 20 years. At the age of 3, she started in her first tap and tricks class and later became an active member of both the competitive dance and gymnastic teams. She was a successful competitive gymnast for many years, and won numerous regional and national titles with her dance team. She began coaching classes when she was a Level 7 competitive gymnast, and quickly fell in love with the job. She has worked to perfect student technique, choreograph routines, and guide gymnasts through their competitive seasons. Katie is a USAG professional member, U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction certified, U101Safety and Risk Management certified. and has attended many regional and national congress event trainings.
Having been a gymnast at McKeon herself, Katie has many years of direct training under Peter and Trisha Cacciapaglia, providing her with the talent and passion necessary to be a wonderful coach. She has continued to work with gymnasts of all levels throughout her college years, while pursuing her undergraduate degree. She has always said, "McKeon is my second home, always has been, always will be".
COLBY HALL
Colby was a member of the national award winning dance and gymnastics team at McKeon for 10 years. She recently graduated from Liberty University with a degree in Sport Management. She is head of Spirit for Cheerleading and Dance at The University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
Colby has been a valued member of our coaching staff for 5 years. She is USAG professional member, U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction, U101 Safety and Risk Management certified and Heads Up certified.
MARISA PEAK
Marisa was born into the sport of gymnastics, giving her almost 20 years involved in the sport. She began competing at the age of 5 and assistant teaching at the age of 13. She was a member of her high school team and was awards the coaches award her senior year. Her primary study in high school was early childhood development which gives her a great insight into working with our young gymnasts.
Marisa is a USAG professional member, U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction certified, and U101Safety & Risk Management certified.
DENISE WEAVER
Denise began dancing and gymnastics when she was just 12 years old. She attended McKeon School of Dance & Gymnastics and studied jazz, tap, ballet, tap and gymnastics. When not in the gym or dance studio, you could find Denise doing Crossfit and obstacle course racing!
Denise began teaching gymnastics and dance at McKeon when she was 13 years old. She has experience teaching in a variety of school settings from traditional preschools to various schools in the New England area. She loves inspiring children to move in the studio and learn in the classrooms. She has been sharing her passion for dance and movement with students and is very excited to be back home at McKeon and work with all of the talented students there.
JAYDEN KUDRIKOW
Jayden has been a member of the McKeon Family for 9 years! She began gymnastics at a young age and quickly fell in love with it. Jayden is a member of our competitive gymnastics team. She recently earned the title of MA state bars, beam, and All-Around champion! She advanced on to the 2021 Xcel Regionals where she took first place and earned the title of All Around and floor champion!
Jayden loves sharing her love for gymnastics with young children and teaching them everything she knows. She teaches ages 3-9. Jayden is first aid and CPR certified. Along with all of Jaydens other accomplishments, she is a recurring member of her school's Honor roll program!
CASSIDY HALL
Cassidy competitively danced at McKeon dance and Gymnastics center for 16+ years. She also competed on the prep optional team for Gymnastics. Cassidy spent the last 7 years living in VA earning her bachelors and master's degrees as well as coaching at Lynchburg Elite Dance Academy. Cassidy also coaches a local college cheerleading team. Cassidy is excited to be back home coaching where she grew up and cannot wait to be part of an amazing season.
